About the Designer
Peggy Dixon has found her artisitc passion in website design and developement.
A native of Indiana, Peggy was always an artist at heart, taking extra art lessons throughout her high school and young adult years, even winning some awards for her oil painting abilities. Peggy majored in mathematics and computers at Purdue University, but almost changed her major to design at one point. As a young woman, she painted mostly in oils while managing an office and designing, building and then managing a food commisary for Dwyer Vending located in Central Indiana.
In 1981, Saturn Computers opened its doors in Anderson, IN and Peggy became the Keeper of the Books, performing all kinds of office work, payroll, A/R, A/P, taxes, and customer service. She was responsible for much of the advertising done by Saturn in the form of letter and proposal writing, newsletters, pamphlets, newspaper ads, etc. Art, in the form of painting, took a back seat while Peggy and her husband managed Saturn and raised a family of two boys and numerous pets. Peggy took out her creative impetus by decorating the Saturn Computers store and windows elaborately for each holiday during the year and, receiving one award and many comments from customers and people passing by about how much they enjoyed and looked forward to seeing the windows of Saturn Computers each month.
In 2002, even though she was not a class officer, Peggy took on the project of organizing a class reunion and decided a web site would be a good way to connect with some of the 475 classmates in the class. The website took on a life of its own and whalla! - a new passion and career was launched as Peggy began designing and developing custom web sites for individuals and companies in many diverse areas. Since this part of her career began, she has continued to learn and attend many seminars to further her knowledge and abilities in website design. When needed, other web developers are hired to create some of the elements needed to make a developing website the best it can be. Website design has become a passion she so enjoys.
In her free personal time, Peggy enjoys reading, gardening and walking her two cocker spaniels and taking care of five rescue cats. She often picks up a stray animal and either tries to find its owner or a great new home for the animal. When possible, Peggy and her husband visit their oldest son, Daniel, who works as a producer for a computer game company in Seattle and their youngest son and his wife, Patrick and Brittney. Patrick is a pilot in the United States Air Force.
